“OMG, Why didn’t you start with Ellis?”
Well, to be honest, I have a history with her already that isn’t exactly rainbows and sunshine. We’ve had our fair share of spats, fun or otherwise, and I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to dive fully back into the DKMU godforms when I did my ritual to the Red King.
However, despite my work with the DKMU over many years, I had never made contact with RK. My younger years were spent doing manifestation work, and Red King always seemed like a contact to discuss the nature of reality with, rather than the type of entity you call up to curse your boss. It made sense to contact him first for this run-through, then.
My favorite thing about the DKMU is that the entire system is built to just have a ritual cobbled together from whatever random trash you have around. I’ve been a relatively poor magician since the very beginning, so I’ve never had ornate altar spaces or various materia to throw out into the aether. It’s usually just me, some paper, some ink, and if I’m lucky, a candle or two. I decided to let my life be the altar, let my actions be the sacrifices, let my goals be the rewards.
So to contact RK, I just drew his sigil in my notebook dedicated to magickal workings. I read his section in Liber Sigillum, cobbled together a little evocation, and got to work.
I meditated on his sigil for about five minutes. First of all, if you’ve never drawn it before, it has an amazing flow to it once you understand how it works. When you look at it directly, it’s almost like you can’t see it all at once, and you get sucked into the center. But as you draw it, it starts to gain clarity.
So I repeated my evocation a few times, and then waited. He showed up, and I realized it had to be an invocation, so I laid down to better have a conversation. Someone in the DKMU discord suggested that RK was related to Mars and Saturn, which in Lemurian planetworks is 6::4, or one of the decademons. Due to this sync, I decided to ask Red King how the decademons worked. What were they? How did they work?
The answer I got was simple: the decademons are to space, what the syzygies are to time. If that’s true, we’ve opened up a whole new can of worms, you know? Isn’t that exciting and scary!?
After I learned that, I immediately fell into a deep waking-sleep. I was still aware, but couldn’t remember anything from that time period. As I knocked out, neospare drew the above picture, which they received directly from my work. They posted it in the discord, and everyone was all like “OMG THIS HAS SRS VIBES… INTENSE ENERGY…”
So yeah. This is off to a great start.
Not sure what I expected, honestly.
